The Friends of the Sierra Madre Library announce that their December Best Used Book Sale will be held on Friday, December 7, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 8, from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. It will be held in the Basement and the Parking Lot at the rear of the Library — 440 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. Featured in the Basement this time will be a collection of NEW items suitable for gift-giving for all ages. In addition, we have gathered a wonderful collection of LIKE NEW “Coffee-Table” books on Art, Cooking, History, Sports and Contemporary Culture which others would be proud to receive as gifts. Looking for some holiday Children’s titles? We have several. And be sure to check our shelves of DVDs, CDs and Audio Books in the basement as well as our Vintage and Collectible shelves. There’s something for everyone!
The Parking Lot will be filled with boxes of our $1.00 Bargain Books. Each sale has a new collection and you will find newer fiction as well as non-fiction books on every subject. Small paperbacks are 25 cents each or 5/$1.00 and Children’s/Teen books in the Parking Lot are marked from 25 cents to $1.00. We also will have a collection of large-format Art books recently released from the library collection for only $2.00 each. Don’t forget SATURDAY’S BAG SALE in the Parking Lot — pay $5.00 for a bag to fill with books of your choice.
