The Friends are making plans for the August Best Used Book Sale. It will be held on the Library parking lot at 350 West Sierra Madre Blvd. on Friday, August 1 (3:00-7:00 p.m.) and Saturday, August 2 (10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.). This will be our Book-to-School Sale! Featured are books, reference materials and supplies for the new school year. We also have a number of resources for teachers including such titles as “Graphic Organizers for the Elementary Grades” and “Using Computers in the Classroom.”
We’ll have many Nearly New Fiction and Non-Fiction books in our “Table” book section, some best-sellers. We’re including a California History collection this time with some vintage titles as well. Cookbooks from TV chefs and famous restaurants are always a “treat” to read, as well as some stunning Art books. Coffee-table books on many subjects will be available too.
Did you miss a Best-Seller from years past? This is the chance to find it in our Bargain Boxes for only $1.00. Children’s/Teen books sell from 50 cents to $5.00 and our small paperbacks are only 25 cents each or 5/$1.00. Don’t forget our $5.00 BAG SALE ALL DAY SATURDAY, when you may choose from a variety of books, jigsaw puzzles and/or media to put in a large grocery bag for only $5.00!
